Clare Pickleball Club – Pickleball in Ennis, County Clare


Clare Pickleball is a members-only pickleball club based in Ennis, County Clare, officially launched in May 2025 by founder and chairman Brian Moore. The club operates from Doora Barefield GAA Sports Hall and Corofin GAA Sports Hall, offering organised pickleball sessions in a welcoming and social club environment.
Clare Pickleball is proudly affiliated with Pickleball Ireland, the governing body responsible for developing and promoting pickleball across Ireland.

What is Pickleball?

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, combining elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis into a fun and social game played with paddles and a perforated ball.

The sport is easy to learn, fast-paced and highly addictive, making it suitable for players of all ages and abilities. Interest in pickleball in Clare has grown rapidly since the club launched, with more people discovering the sport every month.


The Growth of Pickleball in County Clare

Clare Pickleball began with a four-week “Let’s Try Pickleball” beginner programme, introducing more than 40 players to the sport for the first time. A follow-up men’s taster programme added a further 16 new players.

Today the club has over 125 active members, making it one of the fastest-growing pickleball communities in the region.

Due to strong demand, club membership is currently full.

However, we are always happy to welcome experienced pickleball players visiting County Clare or travelling in Ireland. If you already play pickleball and would like to arrange a guest session, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you.
